Are kappa speakers better than wdx4 Moto
Speakers?
Two entirely different sounds. Both are loud and clear but the highs and lows are more pronounced on the DB's. In other words the highs on the DB's are higher than the Kappa's and the lows on the DB's are lower than the Kappas. If that makes any sense. LOL!!

It depends. I feel the motos have a more defiant sound as they have a bit more distincive lows and highs but the kappas are warmer and smoother all around. It is kind of like listening to a cd thru a great stereo or listening to sharp pro audio using raw files at 256 bits.

i just give em the facts bro!! I can't count the number of Kappas I've installed with multiple amps so I know those speakers well. I've only installed 3 sets of the DB's on different bikes but I've listened to em long enough to know they scream! No need to worry about highs or lows with those speakers. I can tell you this. They are much warmer speakers with the JL MX280/4 than they are with the CVB52.

A few sets of kappas myself but this is my first set of motos. Never installed the mx280 but have heard it in action. It reminds me of a tm amp as it is warm not harsh. The cv amps are more like the focal I have now and is crisp in my opinion but a good budget amp. The motos I have now are warmer than the mpx hertz I had before them.
lol a great full range speaker. The highs aren't ear piercing and have good mid range bass for a 6.5. In my opinion a very good bang for the buck full range speaker. Well priced also. They work well with the focal sport.
After reading this, it got me thinkin. I have the BT 2180 with Arc Audio speakers. It sounds pretty good! But I do think the highs are ear piercing. I have the line levelers. I have my treble almost ALL the way down! Is this adjustable either on the amp or line leveler? Or is it just the nature of this speaker?
