What does everyone use for a disconnect when running power inside the bags? Is there a waterproof socket that can mount to the side of the bag as a pass thru point?
Do you just drill a hole in the bag for the wires and use a grommet?
Yes there are rubber ones that you can find at Menards or screw in ones, that I don't know the technical name for but, Baby Boy gave them to me so he would know! PM him, he be glad to help!

I prefer notching the top. If yur custom splicing and soldering all your connections you can keep the hole super tight If you've got to make room to squeeze RCA's through the hole you'll always have a a gap. If yur notching you don't need to account for that.
Buy some nice Flexo to bundle and protect the wires and you're done.

do you grommet your notch or just flexo?
Honestly didnt think of notching but that certainly could be simpler.. rca gap is a challenge.
I assume you cross out by the side cover and then just tuck things behind the cover ? Got any pics of that?
You can notch it tighter than this. No grommet. If you want it to look pro just split a grommet so the notched edge is covered. Hold in place with contact cement. You can do the same with 1/4 carb fuel line. Just cut it down the middle and line the notch. Fuel line stays in place better than a cut grommet.
*If* your bags are fiberglass you definitely need to protect the notch or you'll fray the glass.
Get yourself some cord grips to go thru the wall of the bag toward the bottom. So every time you go into the saddlebags you don't have to look at the wiring or move it around to get to your items in the bags.
