Which Iron Cross Bluetooth module?
I believe the external BT unit they are offering is the Metra BT-HD01. http://www.metraonline.com/part/BT-HD01
Not sure what the cost is from Iron Cross as I bought mine online. It can be found online at Amazon or other sites. Saw it on "Newegg" for $169...https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...9786-_-Product
I decided to go with this unit as I wanted to control it from the hand controls. That being said it's limited (can't search) but it works great for me...plus having the artist & song title show up on the HU. It pairs very easily...just like my vehicle does. Shut the bike off when listening to a tune it will auto pause it and pick it up where I left off when start up again. Only little issue is this BT unit seems to be a bit quieter...have to increase the volume a bit more as opposed to radio or other source. All in all...I'm very pleased with it.
That's just a BS statement. We have always supported and warrantied everything we ever sold. How about telling us what you're basing this on.
Perhaps instead of ignoring people it would be better marketing to solve the problem rather than having it discussed in an open forum.

to contact On The Move Technology. We stopped selling their products years ago, and no longer had access to what you needed. We gave you the only viable option left, How is that ignoring you?
Iron Cross provides a specialized service for a very specialized client base. To put that in English that means they do freaky stuff for freaks that nobody else will do. We ask them to do things for us that the Motor Company will not do nor condone. Every once in a while when they do a job something might go South but it helps to remember nobody else will do that stuff because of the complexity and delicate nature of the work.
I pestered them with a dozen or so emails before I even sent them my head unit to be sure that it would do what I wanted it to do. I told them going in that I didn't want what everyone else said I should get, I wanted a specific set of features and they delivered. I know of no other company that would do that for me.
I remember back in the late eighties I got the itch to try the big city and moved to Raleigh NC. After bouncing around a bit (I was an entry level electronics technician) I would up working for Southern Autotronics repairing car stereos. I can tell you that just FIXING those things is a pain. It is even a bigger pain to make sure they stayed fixed.
Now add on top of just fixing these HK head units that get bounced around Iron Cross actually adds modern features that allow us to take advantage of hardware in ways that are not possible as they are shipped.
The world of custom whatever (audio, engines, computers, guns...) pushes the envelope at every turn. Once in a while something may not go the way you want it to, but in the end we pay our money and take our chances.

1. I bought the product from IC in good faith expecting a quality product
2. It failed within a relatively short period of time.
3. I contacted IC who advised to contact their supplier.
4. That company never bothered to respond or even acknowledge communications.
5. IC did not respond after that.
So to be fair from your point of view you are correct, I did receive an initial response fro IC. But when I got back to IC when that company failed to respond, as suggested by IC, there was no more respose from IC. There was no attempt to contact the other company on mybehalf, nothing. I did not know what IC's relationship was with that company and at the time I beleive IC may still have been reselling their product.
So the ultimate and final outcome was no support after the sale, which is what I said at the begining.
As I said I have the email history and the facts can and will speak for themselves. I am only sharing my experience for the benefit of others.
