Lids and Weather?

I’m considering adding speaker lids to my bike. My bike is a rider and often sits and gets ridden in the rain. How waterproof are speaker lids? Are some brands better than others for sealing? I’m cheap, so was looking at the advanblack color matched lids thinking a layer of hydro cloth could be installed under the grill. Thoughts?

Just get a set of lid condoms and forget about it.

They have a draw string that will draw tight under the seals. Use them when that dreaded "R" word comes up.

The Biketronics BT 479 6x9's and adapter, did not leak at all, over night rain in motel not a drop! They are a accurate musical 6x9, I have the DD VO 6x9's and they play louder, but they leak a little 2-3 tablespoons in overnight rain. I need some lid covers!
