I have a 2018 Tri-Glide. On occasion my itunes will just stop playing all together. I can navigate from song to song. Many times I see the pause button down at the bottom, no nav going, no intercom etc. How can I (from the handlebars) get the music to play again. Most of the time I have to stop, grab my phone and press play on the app again for it to start working.

Are u damn sure u don't have the Nav Prompt selection enabled on the Boom? This is usually the culprit for these random mute issues.
Sounds like a glitch with the app or the phone. I've had that happen while bluetooth streaming SiriusXM from my iPhone. All of a sudden, out of the clear blue, the music will just stop and there's nothing to do but switch to another source (FM, USB) or pull over and restart the app.

You need to make sure that your s/w is up-to-date. Something that you can do yourself. I had similar issues with my Road Glide until I updated the s/w. Make sure that you use a clean usb drive to update it. No music or files on it. Tends to confuse the system.
Did the problems start before or after sw update? Maybe you have a bad usb cable?
So there are two issues and both started before the updates. The random stops of the Apple Music app and also not being able to read music (MP3) from a 32GB 3.0 USB.
I used the same USB drive that I updated the software with to put music on after formatting it again and it still didn't read from the USB. So I know the USB cable is plugged in and snug otherwise the software update would not have worked. I have formatted the USB as Fat32 and NTFS and there are only 100 songs on it. So at this point I keep on with Bluetooth as the USB doesn't load any music. Maybe I need to just plug the phone in and try that instead of bluetooth.
