Sony MEX output question
I'm trying to diagnose what appears to be a bad channel. I have a Sony MEX610BT head unit. It's connected to a Soundstream PN4-1000D amp using RCA cables. There's 5 unterminated wires in the harness that plugs into the back of the unit, two green and two violet (one side of each pair has a black stripe) and an orange/white wire. I can't locate my manual, but I think those green and violet pairs are speaker outputs, yes? Can I hook up a speaker directly to them? What's up with the orange/white? In my experience orange/white is a power wire.

The purple and green wires are for right and left rear speakers. I tried hooking mine up to some hog tunes tweeters, sounded like ****. Just left em unhooked. The orange and white wire is for illumination, you don't need it.
