So I know technology and preferred methods change daily when it comes to Harley audio, but what are some of the best methods of installing a sound system on a bike with no head unit ? Amps are already in hand so Bluetooth amps are not an option, and there is really no space constraints, music will be provided by an iPhone and Spotify app, and need to stay wireless.
I'm going with a Clarion FZ105BT. I installed a Kenwood Km322BT over the winter, and it lasted a month. Supposed to be a marine grade unit, and after a heavy rain I got a message that wiring was wrong, and to power down. On restart it went in to "Protecting" mode. You can read a ton on this with Kenwoods, and sometimes a reset will work, but mine is cooked. Apparently this is quite common. I've had 5 Kenwood head units in cars and always been very happy with them, but this one pi**ed me off big time. I have a Clarion marine amp, and only running fairing speakers in a FLHT. Installing new head unit this weekend so I'll update later.

Just because you buy a marine HU doesn't mean it's waterproof. You still have to cover it up in a rain storm just like any other aftermarket HU. That marine label tends to pull the wool over a lot of unsuspecting eyes.
