Has anyone figured out how to bypass the parking brake restrictions on the Sony XAV AX 5000? I tried to just run the light green parking brake wire to the ground but it isnt working.
Was wondering if there is anyway to do this? Maybe take the parking break line to the remote turn on wire?
The older model xavax100 was just ground it and it worked
doesnt seem to work just grounding it. The manual says to wire to parking brake switch cord. That would be the same as a ground? The switch cord doesnt have power right?
The wire harness i have with the kit has the parking break wire terminating into the black ground.
Has anybody found a fix other than ordering the part off amazon? Just installed the ax5000 in my bike, and doesn't look like it's working right. Ordered from volunteer audio off amazon.

You just have to ground the parking brake wire in the harness. Some sell it and it's already done. If not, you'll have a green wire in the harness that's really long that you ground and it'll work unless the harness has a wire in the wrong spot.

This is correct. No need to buy anything. Find the wire and attach it to ground and youre good.
I was trying to be lazy. Still had the harness from the BT line leveler kit in there so I didn't have to splice wires. Pulled that harness out, spliced the speaker wires in, and everything works right
some radios require you to apply release and reapply the parking brake for it to work. You can use a toggle switch connected to ground to mimic what a parking brake would do
