Yeah, I have not been able to find either of the ones that were mentioned thus kind of lost interest in this shix show thread long ago.

The 600.1 for each fairing speaker sends me further into yawn mode. Find zero value in that strategy for my riding style but hope dudes have fun chasing that unicorn if it's their desired hunt.

Bagger Boyz is one of the cheapest places I've found for the Beyma stuff. Their website is messing up though and it's easier to call them to place the order. They usually ship that day or the next morning. They look good on paper besides the price tag and the speaker looks like it has a mounting depth of 6"...
That's the one, its a bi-amped coax. Mounting depth is exactly 4" btw.

So if I am to understand right, Louie is saying this setup is in his opinion has the best SQ and loud.

2 of these amps:

https://droppinhzcaraudio.com/soundigital-nano-600-1-600-watt-amplifier/

2 of these speakers:

http://www.usspeaker.com/beyma%206cx200ndn-1.htm

This may very well be the best fairing set up out there but I, the average joe who doesn't know about bass or not informed about audio ....well I just don't want to spend $1200 or so for a fairing setup. Then again, what do I know.

My bad, I just looked it back up and you are correct. Did you buy a pair of those too? Would a 4" deep speaker fit in a SG fairing on BT brakets? I've tried a few different ones, but never one with that kind of depth.

Max depth on a speaker mounted on a set of BT brackets is 3.5 inches depending on magnet size. Unless you go thru some sort of adaptation and faring bracket to reinforce everything.

Good call. I'll double check mine with some squishy clay and see how much wiggle room I got.

So I'm going to see if my logic works here with the Beyma and SD600.1 strategy. You have an 8 ohm speaker that has an rms rating of 200 watts. So reasonably you could push 200-250 to it without a lot of issues. You have an SD amp that is rated at 600 watts at either 1 or 2 ohms. Let's say for instance you have the 2 ohm version. That would generally mean that at 4 ohms it's about 300 watts and at 8 ohms it's about 150 watts. So unless I'm wrong here, you're pushing about 150 watts to each speaker if you in fact use 1 amp for each. Sounds like a huge waste of resources. Now if the Beyma is available in 4 ohm, that makes it a different ballgame. Just trying to check the logic on this setup before people go down a $1200 rabbit hole.

Your logic is understandable, however, 8 ohm speakers *can* have a much cleaner sound at high volume than their 4 ohm counterparts. Forget about the watt nonsense.

While there is doubt about this whole thing let me shed some light on the credibility of this guy. Back in the day his business partner and I were on the competition audio scene. Scott ran Pioneer and I ran Orion. Scott set a devastating 181db record that stood for years before SounDigital took it. They know what they're doing on numbers alone. This is serious knowledge. You can just throw the biggest amps and speakers together and pull that off.

I'm not justifying anyone's comments. Just pointing out that team knows a thing or two about engineering systems.

For the record I did not order that stuff from Louie or his company.

You know this is why I hardly post here anymore. Here's a very knowledgable guy offering a different opinion than the group think that occurs here and in the same breath that folks want to tell him to know his audience, 6.5's have no bass, call him King Louie, then go ahead and ask him for thoughts on tuning and how to set up a bike. Maybe it's you guys? The moment something is brought up that isn't traditionally discussed by this group it gets shot down by the inner circle. This guys audio partner Scott Owens set world records in car audio, won world championships, and if I remember correctly was the first ever to hit 180db in a car. Dude was sponsored by every major Team (Pioneer, Kicker, Fosgate, etc) I bet that guy has forgotten more about audio than I'll ever know.

It's crazy when I think about it. Louie is another shop, another competitor in the same competitions I go to --- he's my competition, and I think it's great he found this place and posted some new ideas up. Yet the regulars here with no interest in competitions, sales, or customers wanna bash the guy?!?!
