Like the title says I have a 2015 Road Glide Special, I installed a Biketronics BT2180 amp kit and a set of Infiniti Kappa speakers. Sounded great and thought I was done. On my way to Sturgis I had my speakers go out, my guess it was just too hot from them it was 106-115F for 7 hours. While at Sturgis shopped for some new speaker but didn't have the money to drop right then. I ordered another set of Kappas to be deliver to my sister's house so I could install them on the way home. 2 hours down the road I ad the tweeter fall off of one of the speakers. Amazon is spending me a replacement set.
I'm just trying to plan ahead for the Kappa's dying again. What would be a good set of speakers to go with my BT Amp? I know BT offers some, I thought I would ask the experts. I'd be willing to drop $300-400 to not deal with this again.

first question do you have an extra kappa? One of mine was destroyed in my wreck. I switched over to arc Moto 602 but Im not completely sold. They are not as loud nor do they thump as loud as the kappas but they are much more rich and full and the clarity of the vocals and instruments sound better. I ran my kappas off my bt4180 but the Motos off my Cerwin b52. I havent tried the arc Motos on the 4180 to see if it sounds different.
Check out the Polk MM652 speakers. They are fairly sensitive and get loud in a hurry, and the price is right. I run them in the lowers of my 2015 RGS with the Moto 602's in the fairing, all powered by a BT4180. The Moto's are definitely richer sounding, but really need to be pushed with a lot of power to get the most out of them. The Polks would be my choice if I was just going with fairing speakers though. I have not tried anything else, and I am sure there are much better options (DD AWs for example), but for an inexpensive set of speaks, the Polks will serve you well.
