I said the very same thing but with all the cvo's Ive seen, lowers started growing on me. I came real close to buying a new cvo but the boom system was the deal breaker as it really sounded good sitting still but not going down the road. After riding a buddys cvo with the lowers, I finally pulled the trigger for a set of them off ebay for $140 and thought I would try them. That turned out to be the best $140 I could ever spend for an audio upgrade as they REALLY add to the all around sound to my setup. Yea I am still getting used to the look but the sound makes up for it.

Those speakers would sound 10X better with a JL, Stinger or Sound digital amp. That said. My recommendation would be to keep it simple. These speakers in the fairing, Stinger SPX700X4 amp and a set of the Hertz MPX 690.3 6x9's in the lids. Now guys are gonna suggest a bunch of exotic **** but if you want to keep it simple. This is a damn good 4 speaker set up.

Ok, Santa was good to me this year! He brought me a Stinger SPX700X4 amp and these 6x9's for the new speaker lids he brought...….

He also gave me a Amazon 250$ gift card so, I looked on Amazon for the fairing speakers Gann gave a link to, I cant find "CX-165's". But if you look at the link I provided there are several 6.5 speakers that people have bought with the Hertz 6x9"s. Thoughts on anyone of those? Will they even fit in a 2014 SGS? And since my mechanical ability pretty much stops at putting batteries in the smoke detector, what else will I need to complete the setup, keeping stock hu? Thanx guys.
