I wouldn't pay extra for the tm400 over the stinger. I wouldn't pay more than ~$150 for the tms 6.5 they are a pretty weak line of speakers. Traveling gypsye has heard it all, trust me if he gives an opinion it's based on actually hearing it not what he read here.

Are there any concerns about losing warrantys from buying component through eBay or amazon?

Thanks Marshall, I haven't heard it all but I have installed a few amps and speakers.

Personally I prefer not to buy audio gear from Amazon or eBay. Most manufacturers don't warranty internet sales. The only warranty is whatever the retailer offers which is not an optimum situation. I'm just saying be aware of what your buying and what the price difference is based on that fact. Is $50 worth no manufacturer warranty vs a 1yr warranty? Also I like to be able to call and complain if I'm not happy. It's hard to call most of the internet retailers and talk to someone willing to help. I have meet a few people/dealers over the years who will make me good deals.
I do like to buy used stuff as it's usually 30-50% of retail. If you ask the right questions it's usually in good working condition and although there is no warranty it's easier to meet my budget.
Finally start8ng to buy equipment, hertz Mille pro 165 in the fairing and Polk mm652 for the tour pack, next month Ill buy the amp , and line levelers. Is there any problem will installing the speakers now and r7nn8ng them on the stock boom system?
Just started my install with tour pack speakers, Polk mm652 coaxial. The crossover circuit board hits the back of the enclosure, do I need spacers? Or can the crossovers be removed, looks like 3 scews and some adhesive and lay the crossover in the bepack of the enclosures? Looking for some input
I'm glad you got as many replies to your questions as you did. I have a 2015 CVO RGU that I am going to be upgrading my sound system in so I'll be watching this thread to see what everyone has to say. And hear how you like your choices as you wade thru your speaker install. Good luck and look forward to reading your thoughts.
