I've never put those speakers into pods so I can't answer the spacer question. If I were installing them, I'd rotate the speaker until i found a spot it sat in correctly. Do NOT remove the crossover.
Just installed the speakers, used spacers in the tour pack and removed the rubber around the magnets on the hertz in the fairing. Im a little concerned with how close the grill mount bracket is to the speaker but it seams to clear. Hope to start under the fairing tomorrow. questions regarding the stinger spx700 amp
it should be set hi-pass at between 80-100?
the phone jack remote input will not be used?
i purchased the remote breakout harness from biktronics, that should go right between the 12v supply and ground?
i also purchased the 2 LL with the breakout harness so it should be plug and play?
the rest will be finding proper mounting location for the amp, LL's and harness wiring
any other helpful information wold be greatly appreciated
Just removed the fairing and head light, so question is for my amp mount. Do I have to remove the head unit.? And then drill and mount to the head unit bracket or do I need a separate amp tray
The Biketronics breakout harness basically allows you to use your stock speaker wire if to the rear. The LLs go between your head unit and amp. I did not need an amp mount fo the MMats amp. You can probably get it on top of the headlight. You may have to shave the tabs of the top.
