I think that you might want to try to figure out what speakers that you want to use in the lowers, then decide whether or not to get a micro amp for the tweeters and try to run the 4 6.5's off one amp or maybe you might be better off with a micro for the tweeter and a more powerful amp for the 6.5s.

I think you will like those Tempestas down there in the lowers very similar
to the prv 6mr500.

Why would the OP not just run the tweeters as intended as a component setup with the TXO crossover off the JL400 bridged and then move towards some 4 ohm PAs for the lowers & bridge a JL280/4 and mount it under the hood?

Just thinking out loud here.

well said T. After rereading the thread I also am wondering why your not
running the tweeters as T said. That’s a great combo with the TXO crossovers.

Another question i have is what distribution block do you use? If i add another amp i will need one. The JL/280/4 amp sounds what i need.

I ran my DD AW6.5 with the AT28 speakers like the diagram shows. All off of the JL XD 400/4 AMP bridged, Now i want to add lowers & you said i would need another amp. Never had 2 amps hooked up. My question is: If i go with the tempesta slim speakers in the lowers how does one hook this up?
