I have a 16 CVO Street Glide that came with the Boom II stuff. I'm looking to get better sound while moving. I've been reading a lot and want to make sure I understand what my options are.
Can I put on a line leveler and change out the speakers to something better without changing the head unit? I don't want to change the HU at the moment since I want to maintain my TPMS and oil pressure etc.
Yes but you can't just replace the speakers. The amps will have to go as well.
Ok, that's the type of stuff I didn't know. I just spent a fortune on engine mods so don't have a ton left to dump into audio. I'll start looking for amps and speakers.
Am I going to need a line leveler for both front and rear?
Would a setup like Infinity 62ix for front, DD VO 6x9 in the bags work? Still have to figure out what amps to go with.
Are you running 4 or 6 speakers? You will need a front and rear LL if you want to be able to use fade or you could go to a DSP. As advised, set a budget and a goal. Folks more knowledgeable than myself will help you out. Ill suggest to keep an eye on the Audio Forum Classifieds to save some cash....
