That's discouraging news............................

I bought mine "semi-new / semi-used" from NDFastin here on the forums. Fully expecting that I would be out of luck (warranty wise) if I ever tore them up.

So i have a set of the moto g2s mounted in the fairing of my 08 ultra, I am using the factory HK head unit. The amp i have mounted and powered is the db drive neo 4, but since i have the factory head unit i had to use a adjustable line out converter to get RCA input to the amp. My question at this time is how do i run the RCA from the LOC to the amp? I have been told 2 different ways from people. Some say i need to use y connectors and other say i just use the rca out from loc to the same channel on the amp? Can someone help me out

I bridged the speaker wire coming from the outlet of amp going to the speakers.

here is the loc i am using. And also right now i am only using channels 1 and 2

I've never used that amp. The question becomes, does that amp have a 2 or 4 channel input switch. If it does, you should be able to set the switch to 2 channel input and get output from all 4 channels. This means no y cords required.

If it does not have the input selector switch, to get 4 channel output you will need 4 channels of input. This means 2 y cords would be required.

I'm running the same basic set up, but used the plug in high level input connectors with the leads supplied with the amp. Just tied the right front to the 2ch/4ch inputs and the same for the left for 1ch/3ch. The SD800S runs the fairing and lowers. Works great. If I could find a radio that kept the CB and all other features, I'd swap it out, but that day still hasn't come. Had high hopes for the new RF, but that was a let down.

so i am looking at radios to put in my bike and take out the stock HK radio, 08 ultra, I have looked at the harley aquatic av plug and play radio but i read they only last a few years before they go bad. so I am wanting to go another route. What other options is everybody using? I also want to be able to keep and use all my hand controls, I would assume you could get any HU you want and get a interface, but what interface do i need?

If you want to keep all of the factory features like CB, Intercom, etc, there are no options. Rockford made a lot of vague complete plug and play claims leading up to the release of their new radio, but it turned out not being much more integrated that any other generic radio folks are using. Plus a silly interface for MP3's and low file number capability as well. Big let down for $650. There is a recent review here somewhere.
