If it were me, i'd run the rear wires to under the seat. Use a Deutch connector there and run to the tp. When you detach the tp, the plug is under the seat. This is also the place where you coil the rest of your tp wiring anyway. Easy-peasy

If the budget # is driving this decision why not just splice into the rear harness that's already in place with quick disconnects!
Personally, I would run new bigger gauge OFC wire.
