I will be installing everything I have gathered for my system in a week or so and I have a couple questions about the tuning after the install.
My set up:
2016 Road Glide Ultra
Sony AX5000
MMatts 4110
MMats 601.4cx in the fairing and tour pak each on its own channel.
I have installed a smaller (2 speaker) system in a 15 Street Glide using the Stock HU but never with the Sony.
1) When doing the first tuning do I keep everything flat on the Sony? It has options for different EQs as well as HPF and LPF. Should I just turn all this stuff off and tune it with the amp?
2) It was recommended to tune with the volume at 3/4 with the Boom 6.5. Is this still the case with the Sony?
3) Do you have an any thoughts on the starting point for my gains? Should I use the DMM method listed in the sticky?
4) Is there anything I am missing that you would like to impart wisdom on me for?
All EQ must be flat. HPF and LPF is up to you- i prefer using it on the radio and keep it OFF on the amps. HPF 60-80 (depends on the speakers, but those Mmats can't play the bass at all so put hpf about 130-150. Start with gain at 0, set the volume level on the radio to 3/4 or bit more, play some music with nice good signal quality, start adding the gains on amp (slowly) and try to catch distortion. Once you've hear that speakers started to distort a little bit, put the gain little bit down.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
The Sony AX5000 starts showing distortion around the 44 mark on the volume. At least the ones I have installed.
Leave the eq settings off, high pass and low pass filters set to THROUGH on headunit until you get the amp gains set. Then start around 100 hz HIGH PASS on the headunit and work your way down and suggest not to go lower than 80hz for your MMATS 601.4cx.
I would leave the amp frequency switch to Full and adjust thru the headunit.
