I ride a 2014 Street Glide Special. I plan on leaving the stock head unit in.After reading up on what people recommend.I have decided on the following. Infinity Kappa 62ix 6.5 coaxial speakers and a Cerwin Vega b-52 amp with the bike tronics BT355 line lever and an amp mount. My goals for this is to hear at 80mph. That said how hard is it to replace the amp and speakers? Is there an amp kit that you guys recommend for hooking up the power and ground wires?Ive never dealt with an amp before. Only replaced speakers in truck.Any help/guidance/do not/dos/websites/videos would be great.
A couple quick notes, no amp tray needed. You can use the stock tray. You will also want 2 - Stinger 1.5' RCA cables to connect the BT355 to the amp inputs.

To the OP, that is a solid set up but and a big BUT, if there is even a minuscule thought of adding rear lids or lowers then spend app. 30% more and get a good 4 channel amp to begin with. Every regular on this forum has or known someone who had to upgrade as the audio fever tends to sink in when you least expect it like riding with your buds and that someone who has 4/6 or more speakers pulls up. First you think it then you say it....damn that sounds good and I need that.........time to go shopping.
would the Cerwin-Vega b54 be a good choice or you got something else in mind?
Most budget builds will usually upgrade at some point in time and tends to move towards the higher tiered speakers, which mainly are 4ohm. For that very reason the B54 is not a solid choice.

Sadly the b-54 just doesn't have the power needed for a good 4 speaker setup. It will work for the 2 ohm kappas up front but any 4 ohm speaker will require more power. I suggest getting the new nvx vad4 micro amp and use it until you decide you want more. You can always add another one of those to sit in your fairing if/when the time comes. Also with those kappas, that amp just may be enough to run those off channels 1/2 without bridging it.
so let me see if i got this right.Using that vadm4 amp I will be able to power the Kappas with no problem. If i were to add lowers later would i need to add a second vadm4?
