I'm interested in upgrading my stock fairing speakers on my '19 standard Street Glide with Stage 1 HD Boom speakers. Not interested in adding an amplifier. I only want to change out the stock fairing speakers.
Has anyone done this. Looking for some quality/sound feedback.
I upgraded the stock fairing speakers on my '13 Ultra Classic, and the Boom speakers were listed as a 25% improvement over the stock fairing speakers in 2013. I was happy with the 25% improvement...
In reviewing the HD parts catalog, page 661, the Boom Audio Stage 1 Fairing Speakers retail at $199.95; however, there is no mention of a 25% increase in speaker output, like before...
Dealer was clueless. Any feedback would be appreciated!
I would not bother pulling the fairing for for just speakers, let alone. Boom!.
But if that is what you have your head set on go for it as I do not think any one here would recommend Boom for you. The Juice there is really not worth the squeeze.
If you dead set on trying the Boom try to find a set on eBay so you don't have much money in it. As others have said you probably won't be satisfied, but you didn't have a large investment in your previous set up and were happy.

This. I have seen the Boom 1 speakers going for $30-70 a set on the Facebook pages.
With out adding a Amp Not much improvemet to be had.I just added a CV B52 An Some Infinity Kappas,Sounds Great.I have a set of Boom Audio Stage 1 Speakers out of my 18 RGS You can have for $50 If you want to try Boom Audio.
I may check out my dealer and listen to a SGS, with the Boom stage 1 speakers, to see if it is worth it.
My wife has a 19 RGS with the stage 1 speakers and we are currently looking at other options, if that tells you anything. I will have some Stage 1 speakers for sale soon.
Thanks all for the replies gents. Appreciate the honesty.
Clutched, I'll keep you in mind if I go that route...

Tks/Cheers,

Benito, it WILL sound better than your current speaks. But, what people are saying is that there are much better values to be had if you don't go Boom. Think about it , that's all. Just an amp and speaks. Simple straightforward system. And remember....showroom floor isn't the road. I bet all in you are no more than 500 that way. There is another thread on here...Stinger amp, Hertz speaks, wirning kit, BT line leveler. Also look in classifieds. Audio brothers here can set you up with lightly used hardware for good prices.
