How about some first hand recommendations on some fairing mounted speaker upgrades. I'm pulling my fairing for some other work and thought I'd upgrade the only speakes on my FLHX, the fairing mounted speakers, at the same time. I'm not adding an amp or anything else. I just would like a decent stock type upgrade that will add a little more sound and some highs that the current stock speakers are lacking. Harley's upgrade are fairly inexpensive at about 130.00. I've always liked Bike Tronics stuff also. There are so many out there and since I'm no expert in this field, I'm hoping for a few first had recommendations? Thanks
I've been doing some research on this as well.
I'm looking at the Harely Boom speakers.
I've heard good and bad about the J&M 7.25" speaker kit.
Heard allot of good things about Hogtunes.
I'm seriously thinking about going with the Harely Boom speakers for now.
I elected for HogTunes & am very pleased. Like you...was just looking for "economical" upgrade & @ under-$100 these fit the bill. Good luck w/your search.
Shoot Wayne aka firecap on this site a PM. He will give you the low down on speakers and steer you in the right direction.. Really, really knows his audio stuff.. Sells it too and gives great discounts!! I'm runnin' Kicker PS5250's and they are much better than stock and are not as heavy as are the Hogtunes on your fairing. I had those too..
