Honestly bro I’ve not heard of a 13 and down Harmon Kardon radio that needs flashed. If you need a good working radio I have a couple on my shelf I’ll send to you for the cost of shipping. Hit me on the PM if interested.

The radio on my 07 didn’t need flashing for comms or CB but it didn’t have the front to back fade functions. That was the only flash to add to make it work on a Bike with rear speakers but mine doesn’t have rears so I didn’t need the flash.

If the dealer is saying heat is the issue then their design and install of the hogtunes stuff is to blame. My 08 has 60K+ on the odometer with the original untouched factory radio with zero issues. I took it out this winter to install aftermarket because I wanted bluetooth. I don't use the CB so didn't care about any of that. Heat is not an issue.

I would open up that fairing myself and look at what they installed and how. As stated before, perhaps the load on the remote is too high. Perhaps there is a faulty connection that is causing premature failure. Perhaps the it is tuned incorrectly and blowing the speakers. Perhaps the speaker rocker switch is going. There are many things this could be.
I have not had the privilege of getting my hands on the older hogtunes setup. Do the outputs to speakers come directly from the amp like a normal system or did HD kluge something together to push it back through the stock harness? That would be stupid but I have seen dumber things with add on stuff.

Should also mention that I still have that stock unit. Still nothing wrong with it.

IronCross says they do a core buy program but have been unable to reach them so it is in a box in my garage.

I may be interested. Let me know what shipping is. As long as they are truly working. Only interested if they came out of an ultra so I don't have to go thru the refresh, even though it didn't cost me anything. Thanks for the feedback.
