Kinda what I figured. Still just a noob to sled audio. Cages no problem. Just don’t want to end up with fridge magnets.

I have decided to use the Hertz SV 165s. Any suggestions for paralleling these with what I have?
BT4250
BT7P1 Pro (Fairing)
Mille legend (rear pod)

Thanks again! Great info.

Decided to get the Hertz simply because of availability and very good luck with Hertz in general.

The only speakers I would parallel those with are another set of SV's. Those speaker will get loud and drown out most speakers if ran in parallel with a different efficiency speaker.

Yup .. What Juice said. At one point, I was running BT7.1 pros in my fairing along with some generic 6.5 PA's in the lowers that were rated at 98db/1w. My rear channel was powering 6x9's in speaker lids, so I paralleled the fairings/lowers. Without any fading ability, the lowers way over powered the fairing in volume. I eventually ditched the lids and connected the 2nd channel to the lowers. Being able to fade helps, but as is, you'll be disappointed.

I have been thinking I will parallel the fairing and the rear pods maybe and leave the lowers on the rear channel. They are only 0.5 difference in sensitivity. Only thing is setting the gains as I have the tour pac off about 70% of the time. It seams like I have kinda messed up with this amp I bought thinking I could eventually do all eight in parallel. The extra headroom doesn’t hurt I guess but it doesn’t seem to be really adding value either.

Not really sure what other issues setting it up like that could cause?

Also so if I can’t get the fairing speakers to sound how I like they will be coming out and maybe a set of dB Motos will go in.

Did you ever find a way to get the pros sounding good? I am really not happy with the sound of them right now. Very hollow and zero bass response. Sadly the stage 1 boom sounded better in the fairing. But the Hertz Mille Legends in the rear pods really help out.

I actually removed them over the winter and sold them. Before you do that, call Mike at BT. He has a modification he does to them to get better sound out of them. The person I sold mine to did this and he is very happy with them. I am currently running the new DB Drive WDX G2's and am content. Going with a full range in the lowers with the BT4180 and likely will go with either some MMat 601.cx or Hertz HCX165's. Hell, I might even hit my nephew up for a pair of Kicker 6.5 KS series for $70. Who knows
