Default DSP Model PROs and CONs

Hello all. I am going to the be entering into the Moto DSP area specifically to migrate to a mono setup to maximize the system components I currently have. I have a DSR-1 and an audison Bit one installed in my cages but not on the sled. This mono strategy is very new to me and others have already made some suggestions on other threads. So now I am interested. I absolutely despise my Bit One and it will be removed soon.

What DSP are you running?
Why did you choose to use that model?
and lastly what do you find Good Or Bad about it?

I personally use the Arc Psm. I like the software and the size of the unit. It's small (think cigarette pack) and will fit anywhere. The downside is 6 channels.

Lots of folks digging the DSI 2 for its channel options and bluetooth capabilities.

I recently got to see the TWK88 being used and am impressed with its platform and software as well.

I am running the Digital Design DSI-2 connected to two Soundigital 800.4D's and one SD 250.2D and I think it works just great.
I went with the DD DSI-2 because I liked the way it was constructed and by the reviews I found on it.
It's easy to program and I like the fact that there are ten outputs on it also.
I ran an extension to the glove box on my RG Custom and hook my laptop up to it to tune it.
The only drawback was not being able to purchase it from DD direct.
You have to buy it from a DD Authorized Dealer.

Both excellent pieces of information. I have been reading more information on the DSI-2 and I am really starting to shift that way over a DSR1 or others. Only problem is buying one in Canada. As you mentioned it needs to be purchased from an authorized dealer.

i run a Arc PSM. I like it because it can be wired to change tune presets when the bike starts or with a switch. That’s handy with the Rushmore hu eq. The down side is 6 channels and the xovers are tied in pairs.

I will be installing in a 2017 Ultra. I do like that sort of functionality. Great info!

The phone software on the DSI2 looks identical to the Dayton DSP software, which is easy to use. Much better than the DSR1.

Thanks Mike. I see there is an authorized dealer about 2 hours from where I live. I’ll contact them tomorrow and ask some availability questions. I hope some others chime in here as well. I think between the options I have seen so far the DSP’s that have the ability to set the hz and level independently for each channel are most suited to my build. Unfortunately that sort of takes the Arc off the table. Bluetooth integration I think is almost a must have as well.

It seems the DSI-2 has all the features I would want. I have seen some pics of it mounted in the batwing as well.

The DSR1 is close but I don’t know how set the hz for each channel individually.

How many others are there that fit in the batwing? With Bluetooth?
