Bike is a 2009 Electra Glide Classic. I have a Kenwood head unit, a set of Focal Performance 6.5" Components and a JL audio XD400/4V2 Installed in the fairing. System sounds great but I want to add 4 6x9's in the bags. I'd rather not install an amp in the bags as I like my storage space. I'm considering replacing the JL amp and getting 2 smaller amps that will both fit in the fairing.
I've been researching small class D amps and wanted to see if anyone had any other recommendations. I've been looking at the Diamond Micro and the SounDigital Evo amps. Are there any other amps that will give me the power I'm looking for and fit in the fairing?
I would like to keep 200W x 2 @ 4ohms up front and would like at least 400 watts for the rear, either 100W x 4 @ 4 ohms or 200W x 2 @ 2 ohms.
Not set on any specific speakers for the rear, any recommendations that have some midbass would be great.
You could use a Cerwin Vega B52 bridged and wired in parallel and series for 4 ohm load = 1X500w. Wire each bag in series then parallel the 2 bags. The B52 is essentially the same amp as the Diamond, just repackaged and cheaper.
