After Bob got done with that Ultra in the bar parking lot in ES is probably the best I've heard BT LLs sound. So I would say ultra flash must help a lot. Stock SG flash is just not great in any form I've experienced yet. The new RF flash on the bikes I've heard, albeit not a ton of bikes, has sounded pretty close to tweaked BTs and an ultra flash.

A lot of planning is necessary to get decent sound out of the stock HU IMO, but I'm still using one.
