Default Speaker upgrade

Alright gents, I have the stock HU, a SS PN4.1000D and Kappas in the batwing and pods. Thinking about upgrading 2 of the speakers to Mmatts PA601cx’s (can’t afford all 4 at once). Couple of questions:
1. Any problem with mix and match speakers on the amp.
2. Which location should I replace first, fairing or pods?
3. If I put the in the pods, will the 1/2” spacer be adequate. If I put them in the batwing will they fit similar to the Kappas (mounted inside the speaker pod)
Thanks in advance,

Shouldnt be a problem with different brand speakers.

I think the mmats in the fairing first since most of the rear sound is lost anyway.

You should be able to pick up all four speakers for 350 I would think. I think ingot my pair for 170. But why not wait till you have the money for all 4. That way you dont have to pull the fairing and retune but once.

Edit: I misread. You have lowers which might be the best place to start with the mmats. Someone much more knowledgeable than me can chime in. Still i think I'd save up and do all 4 at the same time.

Thanks in advance,
A little more info. do you have speaker pods in your lowers? If not I would put the MMats in the fairing and move the kappas to the tour pak. The kappas in my 2012 fit with a 1/2 spacer. The kappas are 2 ohm and there for need there own channels (cant parallel them) on your SS amp. I was able to get the MMat cx's for 185 shipped and they sound as good as everyone says.

I agree with everyone else. I'm guessing, going by you signature, this is for the 18 Limited. And, I'm guessing you are talking about the tour pack when you are saying pods. For the TP pods, I would encourage you to go with the Vtwin Audio TP adapters. I know they are expensive but they are quality pieces and look much better than a big ol spacer. If you can only replace one set now, do the fairing.
