Did this just start happening after you detailed it? I had water get under my fairing and into my jl fix dsp and the speakers started making noises and doing weird things. May be worth looking into
It did. I need to pull the fairing off and check everything. I still have not got a response on whether I should use/not use the orange wire. I have it wired into the clutch-side cubby wire. I was told this wire would activate once you start the bike and enable Preset 2. Could I just take that out of the equation and just run Preset 1, whether I am listening in the parking lot or rolling down the highway?

Run preset 2 brother. It works well to have 2 different automatic tunes.
Did u fix the other issues u were having. I'm pretty sure ur HU should not be turned on by the DSP if that's what was stated in ur original post. HU and DSP turned on by acc.

I have not T. I fired her up and she seems to be fine right now. I'll see how she runs this afternoon..........heading to Llano for BBQ at Coopers!. A rainy New Years so I will pull the fairing and check all the connections and clean up the wires.

Awesome!!! I don't think there is better BBQ on the globe than Coopers. Enjoy the hell out of it and ride safe!
