Yes I tried both, (it didn't work inline to the new amp either, i tried just for the heck of it) ended up just adding another amp (should have just gone that way in the beginning) and the cubby is for other stuff lol, I'm not fumbling around in there when for a few bucks more I can have a clean and functional (via the hand controls) installation.

yes just the plug, not sure on the kit I didn't look at it. I'll have 2 BT LL's available shortly, one front and one rear.

If you tried it after you used it for the wrong purpose I'm sure it didn't work anymore. I'm not saying they are fool proof, but I'm sure that they are capable devices.

Ah, yes that is a real possibility, I only tried it as others said it would work.
