Default Hertz HCX amp frequency setting.

Decided to upgrade/ date my stereo. Went with new aquatics av mp5ubt hs, and also with the RF t400xad amp. Will be Pushing A set of hertz hcx 165 up front and also a set of hertz hcx 690 in bags. Found online the 165s should be set around 80hz at HP. can not find anywhere what too set the 690s. Any info or thoughts in general with what I’m going to be running would be appreciated. Thanks Corey.

I would start the 6x9 around 70-80hz and adjust as needed.

Is all of this on your list to purchase or has already been bought?

I ran those HCX's in my 07 RG for years. I used a Sony head unit and SounDigital SD800.4 amp, so each speaker was getting 110W. Using the RF DSR-1 I had the fronts crossed at 100hz and the rears (mounted in cycle sounds lids) crossed at 90hz. That gave me the best combination of loud and clean. Neither speaker sounded good to my ears crossed lower than those settings on my bike. Those HCX's get loud.

I ended up adding a set of PRV 8" mid bass in my bags to fill out the sound right before I sold the bike. It sounded awesome when "done".

yea everything I’ve read on them was nothing but good. The reason I went with them. No complaints and everyone has said same about being loud and clear with good amp hooked up.
