So as Fireball has mentioned the 6.5" Mmats PA601.4cx are a great speaker choice, and the Stinger is a great amp. Well worth waiting for.
Like others here, I have been through 4 amp upgrades and 5 different speakers over the last 4 years, usually doing changes through the winter months. I went to the Stinger and the Mmats combo last spring. No regrets. They work well together, sound good, and get the job done.
The Stinger is 4 channel amp and can easily run 4 speakers such as a set of lowers or a set of speaker lids. The Mmats 690.4.cx 6x9 work good in speaker lids, and the PA601.4.cx work well in the lowers as well.

Lots of other amp and speaker choices out there, but this combo is quite popular for a reason, and gets recommend often.

Great choice. I'm happy with mine. I've helped a few buddies install the Mmats and have yet to not have anyone not like them.

the Polk speakers already added tremendous sound quality over the OEM speakers, and I know with the new head unit, and amp pushing the power, it should sound pretty damn good...
Hopefully that works out for you. The majority of us have upgraded the 5.25" speakers to 6.5" speakers. There is an adapter for the batwing fairing. Most of us have also upgraded the rear speaker as well to a 6.5". There are a few 6.5" speakers that will fit in the rear pods, some of the others require an adapter.

Probably best to start your own thread. Maybe list what the rest of your system consists of. Sounds like you already have an amp, so if we know what amp you have, what HU, and current speaker location we can try and get you sorted out.

I hope it works out too... I did alot of research on the speakers, 5.25 vs. 6.5 in and from what I have read, there is not really alot of difference in sound quality between the two, now granted you might get
a little more bass from the 6.5 in, but is it really worth the extra $$ to spend for the speakers and the adapters to install them.

I read alot of great reviews from the 5.25" Polk Audio speakers and the Stinger amp combo, and to be honest the change in the speakers alone, without the new head unit and amp installed, the sound is great,
so I can only imagine what it will be like with the remaining items installed.

and besides if I really want some awesome bass, I will install some 6x9 speakers in the saddlebag lids with their own amp.
but anyway thanks for your input bro, ride safe
