Question #1 I am running a GZMicro4 bridged to DDAW's and AT28 tweeters in fairing giving me 2x200W@4ohm am i getting 200 per speaker or 100 per speaker
Question #2 I am running JLXD400 and parallel bridging Matts690.3 lids and Mmmats PA 601.4 lowers off that giving me 200W@ ?ohm am i getting 200 or 100 off each set or do i now have 2 ohm load for all 4
had this setup in for over a year and sounds great just thinking about some more power and change out PA's in lowers
recently tried the bridged parallel one reason i'm asking read in manual not stable was previously running off 4 channels for 75w per channel guess i better go back
If you have a 4 channel amp bridged to 2 channels and one speaker hooked to each of the two channels then each speaker will get the full output of that bridged channel. In the case of the gz, if its done right you will get 200w each. The tweeter doesnt pull much and doesnt seem to affect ohm load.
I ran the AWs on a xd400 bridged for a year. That worked well but those speakers are power hungry. If you switch to a higher spl 8 ohm speaker you can run bridge/parallel and drive all 4 off that xd quite well. Otherwise you need to find room for another amp to drive your system to potential.
I appreciate the honest answer, I thought i was feeding 200 to each DDAW, you think a SD evox 800.4 bridged would be too much power for those, i have DSP to lighten it up a bit. Was probably going to put the JLXD in the truck, Then run 2 EVOX 800.4 (4) in fairing 1 bridged to DD's the other running MMats 690.3 on 1&2 and then new set of lowers TBD I cant seem to let the DDAW's go I'm sure i can get a little more out of them. looking at Hertz SV NEO loudspeakers to replace the PA's

From my experience about 225w is all those aw can handle. Anymore than that and you have to raise the xover considerably.
As for amps, I would try to get 200+ per channel. You can always cut a set back a little if needed for blending.
