I got the Pn4 1000d to fit. You won't get more than maybe another half inch total to fit on the sides and in the pic you can see I put my distribution blocks in front of it with no fitment issues. That's all mounted on top of the Aquatic Av HU which is essentially stock size. Threw a nvx vadm2 on a hogtunes bracket on the brakeside. Didn't have to "mod" anything. I did have to reroute wires.
Excuse my disorganization.

Good pic and clarification i know my taramp 800x4 2ohm will fit if I decide to move one out the saddle bag. How does that amp handle the heat in the fairing?and that cloth over the speakers you made a simi baffle for them.

Ill let others comment about heat. I have not used it long enough to be able to answer that. That being said I did not have any issues during the time I have used it. The cloth is polyfill and is just to help create a fuller sound by mimicking more airspace. Not too little not too much. Theres a lot of threads covering that part but I think most people who use it stick to about three layers covering the back of the speakers.
The PN4.1000d ran in my fairing for over a year with tons of crap tied to it and never got more than slightly warm. I have it in my clutch side bag now with no airflow pushing 6x9s and 6.5s and it still don't get more than slightly warm even when pushed.
It really is a good amp for the money. The only things I don't like are it scrambles FM reception and I found that when I started pushing 6x9s really hard with it the current draw went through the roof. It just wasn't made for a motorcycle electrical system. Most folks will never encounter the current draw issue though I am thoroughly pounding it so I can't blame it for what I paid.
For a while when I had it in my fairing I was pushing six 6.5s with it and had no issues at all.

I just ordered 6x9 lids what speakers are you running? I am looking at the PA690.4cx and the Diamond sub coax.
Jack I've got an oddball according to a lot of folks but I love the way they sound. I'm running the Polk MM691s which have separate crossovers which keeps them from getting too hot. They are marine rated three ways that have a 2.7 ohm impedance. That allows them to run a little more power than 4 ohm speakers. I have heard good things about the Mmats but just don't have any desire to get rid of these Polks.
If you have speakers in your pods with tweeters and can hear them OK those Diamond subs might be cool if you can feed them enough power, the only gotcha is as speed increases more and more low frequencies get blown away. I can still hear the mids and highs from the Polks at high speed just fine.
Maybe someone that runs those Diamonds can give some more feedback on them.
