Hey Caffieine I thought about this post when I saw this video series on YouTube from Traveling Tall. He was having oil consumption issues but wanted to upgrade his engine so he took it to Zipper's Performance. They tore down the top end and found a few problems that they talked about. His motor had 10,000 miles on it. It's an excellent series that culminates with a 124" build they call the "sleeper 124" that puts out 130 HP and 150 lbs of torque. This link starts at episode two where they tear into the engine. He had oil blowing by the rings getting into the combustion chamber causing deposits that were wearing out the valve guides.
