Ok so thanks to TW and Juice for some good advice on a build for my new bike. Just wanting to narrow things down and make sure I've got the right pieces in my head...well on paper so I dont forget, so I can start getting stuff together.
New RGS so I'm thinking of just doing a front system for now. I'll be adding lowers in the next month or so..and with the 6 weeks or better turnaround, i'll be a two speaker only system for a bit.
So since its a front only, and eventual 4 6.5 speaker set up, I want to get as much low freq as possible. Not entering any audio events and this is a rider bike so dependability is also a must.
The options I've been looking at and suggested are:
beyma 6p200nd
GZ yellows
faital rs140's
and of course going back to regrol's and my favorites, the mmats 601cx
I also anticipate adding a DSP along with of course an amp. I guess the evo x 800 is on my short list.
Perhaps I could start with the evo and a pair of mmats in the fairing, then once I get the lowers I could add a pair of one of the options I listed above and throw in the dsp as well.
Any thoughts on this?
Need to plan the faring speakers with the assumption that I'll be adding lowers as well in the near future.
Horns..yes...just dont want something I have to remove gauges or cut anything to make work. I think juice mentioned the diamond horns garagebaggers have, but dang 250 bucks? Keeping my options open though.
So a pa coax like beyma ($600+), faitals 6hx( $450), or the new diamonds( $390) are a compression driver mounted through the 6.5 so no need for a separate horn or gauge removal. Haze posted a review of the beyma and faitals. Diamonds are new. Euphorias are another option but are $600+ as well

Yeah Im probably not looking at spending that much. The beymas and gz yellows are about my limit prices wise, which is probably why im leaning more towards the faital rs140's. Perhaps those and the mmats would be a decent 4 speaker system.
