Default Adding 6.5's to road glide inner fairing

Hello i have a 2012 road glide, with a pair of mmats 601cx in the stock speaker location. I'm looking to add a second pair to the inside (near the forks) of the inner fairing. Will the 601cx fit, or should i look at a different different speaker? I'm not a fan of the aftermarket inner fairing with 4 speaker pods. I like the stock look better. Thanks in advance

You will have to cut the glove boxes to get the Mmats to fit facing the forks.

What other speaker would you suggest? Does anyone has any pics of this setup?

The only speaker I had that would fit without cutting the boxes was a shallow mount kicker. There might be others that will fit but that's all I had tried.

I didn't lose the whole glovebox. Still get smokes or a wallet in them.

What are you trying to accomplish by adding another pair of speakers?

The bike had lowers on it when i bought it. I removed the crash bar and lowers when i started building the bike. I want it louder than it was.

I would look into the PRV 6mb250. They are shallow and loud.

Thought about adding your engine guard & lowers back on? That way you could add some speakers in the lowers?

Bonus: Better wind management, keeps you dryer on rainy days, cools your engine, etc.
