I was recently informed that the DSI-2 is discontinued!?!
This is completely true
The DD DSI-2 HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED and is out of stock. I called and confirmed this yesterday. There is a new and improved DSP possibly being released towards the the end of December.
The new DSP will have more channels and a built in bluetooth. The physical size is slightly larger than the DSI-2 but no dementions are available yet.
GS, I think u said u already had the ARC PSM right? Just run that sucker on the brake side and drop a cord into the brake side glove box or a windshield t-bag. It has plenty of capability for your setup. After all u did say that u were only gonna use it for bandpass right?
No need to get out over the tips of ur skis after L7 got ur stuff cleaned up a bit.
I do not have an Arc PSM, but I can get one pretty easily. My needs are very basic. With the new Neo600s in the lowers, I'm loud as ****. I just need to keep the high range out of the yellow baskets. They start to distort at higher volumes, so I'd like some more control.
Keep it simple brother. No need to start trying to mash a bunch of unnecessary stuff into the fairing. The ARC is a good product for what ur trying to accomplish. I used it for a while and since I now have 14 speakers to manage I had to move to more channels. That's the only reason I made the move.
+1 on the Arc if it has enough channels for you. I got a right angle usb micro cable so that it would lay flat against the PSM when it was plugged into it. I then coated that sucker good with silicone and let it dry so I wouldn't have to worry about it shaking loose. I then ran the other end just a little bit down the steering neck and tied it off there for easy access. I got one of those rubber USB plug caps to leave on it while it's not plugged into my PC.
So far no trouble after a year or two. When I want to make an adjustment I just pop the cap off and plug up a fifteen foot Gator brand USB extension cable to make the PC connection.

That's going to suck if it's larger than the DSI-2
