I personally prefer Factory rebuilt equipment because the quality control is higher than production models. They don’t want to have to rebuild it twice so they go through every inch of the amp where factory production just has certain quality control and not on every amp.

It’s no secret that SD had some issues with these amps when first released. With a refurb you would think they would now be able to upgrade them and address any design flaws. It will probably end up being better than some of the new ones on the market, at least the early production versions.

I have used both new and the referbed SD amps. What I have noticed is that the referb amps run cooler with less fan noise (on the 1200.4 evox).

As Gypsy mentioned about the referb amps I also believe that they go thru them more thorough. I myself have been running referb amps on my personal bike for 3 years without any issues.

Im definitely going to sell it. I'm probably going to have to sell the bike too. Going through a divorce and its putting a jam in my disposable income.

I just listed a brand new EvoX 800.4 in classified if anyone is interested. Got it a week ago, so it should be from newer batch that came in. Seem some earlier release one had some issues in the lineup.
