You can always sell the 800 and recoup most of your money then buy the 1200. Same footprint just about as the 800, and dont need to add another amp and will have plenty of power for those speakers.

I heard they are coming out with some new stuff, but not sure if they will have a 2 ohm version. The old Evo S models are pretty reliable and well priced. If you only running one amp, then space isn't an issue.

I was a little worried about space - I plan on putting a DSR1 in there also and had read some stuff about the GPS antenna. But I do like the 200W/speaker and the price

If you're gonna use a DSP then I would opt for the 1200.4 (2ohm). You can easily manage your watts and give them 250-275 and bring them to life.

Actually I would give them 300 each but that's me.

Hey everyone - wanted to say thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions. This building your own audio upgrade is really fun and having people share their experience and knowledge is very much appreciated. I have settled in on what my build looks like now but I just wanted to make sure I said thanks and I look forward to reading thru other peoples questions and sharing.
