Look into the new hertz sx 690.4 as they will mount directly to the rf lid kit, will sound damn good with the 1200.4 and are water resistant. Not the cheapest 6x9 but well worth the cost as they are purpose made for motorcycles. Mmats will need to be re drilled to fit the rf lid kit and the seal is questionable if it rains.

The matts will work as well. Only the mounting holes were out of alignment when I did the mmats. I also never had any leaking issues, and I was caught is a couple of HEAVY storms.

I never had a problem when I had them in my lids either but can see if not drilled properly they could leak. If you get some mmats, just be sure they are weather treated for an additional cost of $10. Best $$ you can spend.
