What are you 2015' and up RG guys doing for single amp mounting? Or maybe amp and dsp mounting? Say a SD 800.4 or 1200.4 Evo X or Stinger. Are you just going on top of headlight, or using amp bracket under HU?
Have a couple newer RG installs coming up and looking for ideas.
Ive put the stinger and now the SD1200 under the HU on top of the headlight bezel. The 1200 fits longways and kind of "locks" in place so seems pretty secure. I had to remove the RDRS module and now I have that velcro'd under the HU on the mounting bracket., I had a Dayton 408 dsp I put there and had the RDRS in the brake side space next to the speaker pod, but swapped that for the arc dsp and have the arc next to the speaker pod now. Other side I have the SD250 for my horns.
FYI, the SD wont turn sideways under there unless you cut off those metal tabs......not sure what they're for....cant remember. Also, I've pushed my headlight plug out once or twice pushing the amp in like I have it, so make sure you don't do that. Buttoned it up at a friends house last year and took off without realizing the headlights weren't working. It was very dark when I got out on the main road. He lives out in the middle of nowhere. Had to turn around and take the fairing off. lol
