The main problem is that amp is only putting out 80 watts to those speakers unless he has them bridged and running the horn in parallel. Those speakers also come with a 4 ohm load resistor to help tame the highs, did the shop wire it in? I have them in my fairing sending 300 watts to each woofer! A dsp will help with those speakers.

This is it. You need to make sure a. they didn't set the HP filter on the amp too high and b. the ceramic resistors are wired in to attenuate the tweeters. Then bridge em and let it rip. Those speakers sound good when done right.
I'm working on one now that came in very similar to that except he had a SD400 instead of the 4v2. It looks like they intended to run them bridged but mistakenly had them on one channel, and obviously not tuned right. The way it sounded when it came in was just that - loud and shrill.
The installer said he is running them with all 4 channels of the amp. When I had originally asked for him to bridge think he said no they weren’t meant to run that way. I’m not a diy guy when it comes to audio and electronics otherwise maybe I would have tried to tackle this originally.

I would say take it back and make them do it right, but now I wouldn't trust them at all!
I had a similar experience with a so called audio shop on my last bike. Although this shop did some bikes, they were clueless and were a car audio shop first and foremost. I asked for certain brand amp and speakers, and they put something else. Hacked up my stock wiring a bit as well. I took it back and made them change it as best they could, but it still wasn't great. Found another bike audio guy to fix their mess.

Like I said, I don’t dare mess with it. I don’t trust myself and don’t want to fry anything. Now I feel like I gotta find a new shop. This guy does a LOT of bikes. And was recommended by a lot of people. Too bad. If I took the fairing off and looked at the wiring I wouldn’t know how to tell if the amp is bridged and how the speakers are each wired. I imagine they are just one channel to one speaker “normal” and not bridged. If the amp was bridged I could get more out of the drivers and turn the horns down a little?

Where are you located maybe I know a reputable shop your way.

Stupid question for the day- in common person's terms, how to I bridge 4 speakers from a 4 channel amp? Maybe I need to take a step back but I'm definitely scratching my head on this one. lol
