Yes, there are a few setting to change . I compared the Mobile app to the REW and the results are close enough. Its great for scaling, DB readings etc. I also use the TrueRTA software, free unless you want the 1/3 octave scale......that is 35 bucks. For what I do, the Mobile app using the UMKI-1 mic or the Dayton mic is the ticket
Cool thx. I was actually reading about that awhile ago, just didn't know if it was relevant to outdoor too much. I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to stuff like this. Almost 90% of what I am used to regarding recording and mixing, means absolutely nothing in this arena. I think some of the wiser here mentioned that in a post once. I keep doing things like I'm trying to final mix something that's already mixed! Not happening... Old habits die hard ... I may check that software out thx....

@ MC
Do you think the little Dayton mike would work the same plugged into the headphone jack on a laptop for REW? Just curious.........
It should, since you will add the hardware to the PC and then set the mic as default in the REW setting..........I just use default on the calibration file setup, if it ask for it. Would be interesting to test the mic vs the PC on the REW software. I really did not see a difference between the Surface Pro mic and the Dayton mic on the TureRTA. I do like using the mobile tools app the most. I have an old iphone I use with it. Keep us posted
Hey D1127, I'm sorry I kept forgetting to post my EQ settings from my PSM for my fairing speakers. I haven't spent much time on the flying couch lately (just parked my Shovelhead for the evening).
In my limited knowledge with my PSM I just tried to tone down the frequencies that irritated me and left the rest alone. I realize between gunfire and drag pipes my hearing (or what's left of it) might be different from yours. Also I understand that your Boom Box might be a different ball of wax all together, but here goes in case it gives you any ideas to tinker with.

Thx, man appreciate it. I’m always open to learn different approaches to things. Can’t hurt to try... did you experience any noise issues with PSM?

Just the default floor noise, which from what I've been told most DSPs have. The distortion side of the noise got much much better when I changed the voltage setting to 4v, made sure to just cut instead of boost, and moved the master volume slider to zero.
Like I said with your Boom Box I suspect the voltage setting might be different for you. I've never tuned anything other than my rig which has a flat low level input feeding the DSP.
Ok thx. I’m trying to track down more of a low hum sound. I don’t think it’s ground, I double checked everything as well as rca cables. If I disconnect PSM seems to go away. I didn’t hear it when I had it hooked up to my arc 600.4. Weird....

Dang that's a weird issue to my little mind. So what happens when you unplug the head unit input to the PSM, is the low hum still there?
Nope. I unplugged HU nothing, plugged HU into amp still good. Very strange... The only thing that changed was when I switched out the 600.4 for the 2 Sd 800.4’s and also added the AHB T- harness. I’m thinking it may have to do with the harness? Still haven’t tried that yet.
