You may want to check your charging voltage and maybe get a load test on your battery along with checking all your battery connections and grounds. I think the GTS will shut down if it sees an over charging situation or fluctuation of the voltage it is receiving as a self protection.
I thought that I had "closed out" this thread last summer but I came upon it today so I will give you all the solution to my original problem. It, indeed, was the battery. I was checking out the fuses and I pulled the 50amp main fuse and a portion of it was melted. I decided there was a short somewhere so I continued looking. Tested the battery and it showed that it was getting weak so I replaced it. Once I replaced the battery and the fuse I took a test ride and no more problem with the Boom GTS. I've put almost 5000 miles on it since replacing the battery and there have been no more problems. I believe there was an internal short inside the battery that was causing my problem. Anyway thanks to all who responded and I hope this will help anyone else who has a similar problem in the future....
2019 Tri-Glide out of warranty with 17k on odometer. Yesterday morning on a trip the GTS radio started skipping out. I had my iPhone plugged in listening to music. Then I noticed that the map on the screen was blipping out also. I unplugged the iPhone and plugged it back into the GTS. Still did it. I figured it was my iPhone cord gone bad so I just unplugged the iPhone from the bike. Then i noticed that the GTS screen was still blipping on and off without the iPhone plugged in. So I removed the iPhone cord completely. Still blipping. Got home and removed the connections from the GTS and put electrical grease on each connection and plugged them all back in. Ride trike to town this morning and still have the same problem. Fill up with fuel and ride back home (15 miles) and not one single problem. Radio plays, iPhone plays through speakers, maps work, etc. I'm thinking electrical short but not sure where to start tracing or how to trace. Anyone previously deal with this problem on the GTS system? I would take it to the dealer but I figure that they will want to replace the GTS without really ever working the problem to verify what is causing the issue..... Thanks for any help.....
I had a similar problem on my 2019 triglide. It progressed to the point where the bike would shut off. To make a long story short the main fuse holder was loose on the main fuse and would arc onto the fuse, pitting the fuse and causing the bike to die. The fix was for the dealer to install a new fuse holder into the bikes wiring harness. After that was done all of the electrical problems ceased. It started out on my bike just as you described on yours. If you pull out your main fuse and there are any marks on the fuse legs then this is probably what is causing your problem. Good luck, John
