Ive fallen out of the audio game a little over the last 2 years but this last weekend my BT 4250 quit working on me, which has me wanting to try a different speaker in the fairing. Im using channel 1 and 2 on the 4250 for fairing speakers, hertv sv165 (tour pack and lowers) in parallel on ch 3 and 4. Hertz cpx 6x9's in the lids are bridged with an sd 400.4.
Can anyone recommend a fairing speaker that might play a little nicer with this setup? I know some will say to get a dsp, just not sure I am ready for that at the moment.
Just to help me understand, what is it that makes the bt 7.1 pro speakers so expensive? Do the GZCF Yellow Coax sound better? Louder? Clearer? or just a better bang for the buck? I have dug through quite a few posts regarding fairing speakers and they do not come up very often. My complaint with the pro speakers was always that they seemed like they were lagging behind the rest in terms of overall volume, even when I would try and balance the system. It seemed like they needed more power but switching running them with both a 4250 and bridged on a sd 4004.4 gave me the same impression.
