Default Using a DSP

So, I don't have any experience using a DSP personally, although I recently had a Dayton DSP installed with my new speakers. I didn't do the install myself, but my
question is, how hard is it to do the tuning yourself? It looks easy enough to learn. Is the software very expensive? Recommendations?
Thanks all!

Software comes with the DSP you're using. You just need to download it. Who installed your dayton? Did they not tune your system with the install?

Dayton software

There is a bit of a learning curve. Takes some time to get to where you can tune your speakers correctly. Plenty of help here and other places though.

A good starting point might be to load the software and learn how to back up the tune that your installer set up for you. That way if you get lost you can just reload his tune.

They did tune my system, but now that I have a DSP, I was just curious as to how hard it is to learn how to do the tuning. No sense on paying someone else to do it
if I learn how to (if/when I get a new bike or upgrade my current system further).
I appreciate the insight. I may have to go download the software and play around a bit!

As hoyt said. Always keep the original tune as a back up in case you have to revert.

The biggest learning curve to me is the EQ settings Learning how to set the freq ranges and Q ratings, But again, plenty of help here once you dive in and start playing with it.
