I would go with your gut! And if you can get your money back, I would in a heartbeat. And you still have some time before spring to get something else put in there that you'll be happy with.
Agreed... This is what I'm going to do. His offer to replace the system and refund me, was strictly a deal between him and I. If I wait till spring to hear it outside in the warm weather, and I still don't like it...His offer by then may be... "tough luck" It's all still brand new equipment. I'm sure he can take it out of my bike and put it in the next guys' CVO that wants it. I'll have to loot at the 6x9 kits you posted for my lids.

One guys opinion and he does aftermarket install?? Or just a shop??
I have a setup from SOUNDZ. Iron 65 in fairing, TP and wet lowers. LOVE it. Go read MY "opinion" on it in my posts and why I did it.
To each their own but I'm super happy!!!!
I also went the DIY route before SOUNDZ to try to "save" myself money and get "better" gear. And with MAJOR help from great people here on the forum.
I also wrote up and extensive install review on that as well. Just in case your interested in the process.
I heard soundz in Myrtle Beach bike week a few years ago. Like others say, they sounds decent. But its the cost that kills me. No way I could spend that kind of money for a mediocre system at best. For that amount of money, you can just about have a competition level bike.
For the others that just dont want to do the install themselves, I guess theres some value to it....but still.....find someone on here or FB bike audio groups that does installs, research or get some good recommendations on equipment and go that route. You spend about the same, or maybe less, but have much better sound and EQ and be happier in the long run.
And for me where I live(ND) Sled audio is non-existant. What I learned was from this Forum. Unless you are good at, and understand all the audio stuff, or can find someone close that is an "expert", do what is best for YOU.
For the time I spent under the hood trouble shooting and going through 3 Kardon HU in the process because something just wasn't right no matter what help and suggestions I got on the FORUM, the price I paid to just ride and listen was well worth the P.I.A. I had with my DIY system.
Don't tell people "you could do so much better with blah blah blah" unless your willing to go do it with/for them.
Ever been to a shop and looked at the shop labor rates and it reads something like this??
$99 hr if I work on it
$500 hr if you work on it first and bring me a box of parts.
Sometimes its worth paying an "EXPERT" first......

I'll give you that....like I said...for the non DIY'ers, kits and paying someone to do the install is a valid option....but still every kit and install is not created equal. Do your research. Id rather spend 3 to 4k for a much better system, than the same for a mediocre system that I wont be happy with and wind up either redoing it, or complaining about it constantly.
Bike audio shops are everywhere for the most part....or at least a comfortable driving distance.
You could checkout lucky 7 cycles. The Milwaukee location? Put your ears on a few different speakers?
There are a couple regulars on here that will help me out. I just need to get back with them. My plan for now is to get back to stock. Then go to the MNG in June where I can talk to a lot of you guys face to face, listen to some systems and get some good suggestions. I was going to do that in the first place and then talked myself into my current situation. I'll get it rectified next week.
