So I just swapped out my Boom 6.5 with the new Soundstream HDHU14. I’m running an Rockford Fosgate TM400X2ad amplifier with Arc Audio CX6s in the fairing (that’s it) utilizing Rockford’s RFKHD plug and play kit and I’m getting static/white noise in the speakers even with the volume at 0.

How do I troubleshoot this?
How bad is the noise? Can you hear it with the bike running? When you're riding?
CageyKG - I had noise issues too, similar to yours...
I think I figured out what was happening. The update was never finishing its upload correctly so the updates appeared to be there but not really, just a partial upload.
I took the following steps to get the update to upload correctly. I reformatted my USB and then unzipped the update using a Windows OS this time and not my Mac OS. I don't know if that makes a difference but the file structure was a little different. Was it different enough to affect the upload, maybe. Soundstream said they will look into this to see if they can determine if it is a potential issue. I was also doing the upload in "Ignition" and not "ACC" so I switched to "ACC", this too SS will be investigating but said it shouldn't matter.
There is still a little tick/noise when changing volume or pressing the buttons to change the inputs/settings but they said that is still present in some devices even after update and are still working on eliminating it. I guess there are some more updates coming over the next few weeks. They also recommend to make sure the gains are set correctly after adding the new HU which I planned on doing anyway. This should help minimize it.
However, there is no longer any constant ticking noise/interference when playing music or radio and all the functionality is there. I look forward to finally riding.
The update is quick, less than 5 minutes.
Using high level or RCA's never changed the noise issue for me, it was there for either one. My build is Stinger spx700x4 amp, Mmats 6.5 in fairing, Rockford lid kit in bags. The update seems to have greatly helped.

Thanks - I did actually see your response in the other post and immediately went and checked to see if my software version had installed correctly. Unfortunately (fortunately?) it had. I am taking everything apart today and plan to play around with the connectors and try swapping between high-level and RCAs and seeing if that does anything. I will also check the ground as well since I got a new battery to install anyway.

While you're in there, if you didn't already, put heat shrink on all your cable ends. I hope you used wire ferules as well for your power and ground ends going into the amp/dist block. Also get some tesa tape and wrap your RCA connections, if you have any.

Although not specific to your bike or equipment used, I recently upgraded the audio in my Jeep and had the same issue.
The final fix for me was to move the ground wire connection for the head unit to the ground connection on the amp.
As soon as I did that, the noise went away 100%.
