Default Evo vs Evox

For guys running aftermarket decks with x-over control, is the Evo the same as the X except for the crossover? Guts/power/technology etc?

Edit, just saw you’re linking the non US model. The 4.0 was never meant to be sold in the US and from what I understand, they have zero warranty. With the evo x failures that have happened, I wouldn’t buy an SD without a warranty even though all of mine have been great.

I don’t have a single clue what’s inside, but the evo x footprint is much smaller however the evo was a completely bulletproof amp.

There have been quite a lot of failures of the evo x (I personally haven’t had one but they’re definitely out there and the numbers aren’t insignificant) but I use them and they’ve been great for me.

I wouldn’t shy away from an Evo though, I loved them.

My bad...wasn't aware the 4.0 was a non US model. They have ZERO warranty? That's odd. The footprint looks the exact same as the X

One of the reps from the site reached out last night and stated they have a 90 day warranty, and are literly the exact amp without the built in crossover control.

So if anyone is not needing the extra x-over, this seems like a no brainer to me.

I have a 4.0 version of the the 1200.4. The crossovers are different. ( like the older evo amps. Fixed at 80hz if you choose to turn it on) and the output terminals for the speakers are the older style screw down type where the wire clamps between two little meta plates that close together when the screw is tightened. Inside the amps look exactly the same to me. Identical.
