I abused 2 sets of their TX6.5s with a Hertz HDP4 amp for about 3 years and they held up without any problems. Had them in my fairing and lowers. Have now switched to Mmats speakers.
For the money a pair of those TX6.5s costs, they are tough to beat. They fit into the batwing fairing pods with zero issues.
I ran 4 of these (2 in fairing & 2 in TP w Vtwin spacers) and when I upgraded to Alpine Type R's, it was hard to really tell a difference. I ran them off a Soundstream PN1000.4. For the money they are a great budget speaker...I bet 2 in the fairing on a Street Glide with a Stinger amp would be enough for most.
I have 3 sitting in my office...if someone wants to pay the shipping I'd be glad to send them off. Why only 3 you may think...one is on the shoulder somewhere on TransCanada Hwy 😆
I have the skar sk-m4004d amp on my bike. Have not had it on the bike very long. It works good and fits nicely under fairing. This model has a fan on the bottom side, so I had to raise the front of it up off the amp bracket with 2 nuts. I went with this amp because I am not looking to have $1000 + in my audio. Currently waiting on my dsp to arrive.

have you tried the Skar's midrannge NSX 6.5 in the lower fairing? I'm still deciding if I should go for the midrange speaker or the coaxial in my lower fairings.. (I have 2 polks DB652 in the fairing and 2 focals 6x9s in the lids..)
